Let me take you on a little journey back to 1996. Picture it: a young and ambitious Brian Wagoner, armed with a toolbelt, a truck, and a trusty Mapsco map (if you know, you know), officially opened the doors to 1-A Services. No GPS, no fancy tech—just good old-fashioned determination and a lot of grit.
Brian wasn’t just starting a company; he was building a legacy. From the get-go, his mission was simple: keep food on the table, take care of his family, and do right by every customer who put their trust in him. Those early days were filled with long hours, countless drives across the metroplex, and plenty of laughs as Brian and his kids worked side by side, installing irrigation systems, testing backflows, and plumbing their way into the community’s heart.
Brian Wagoner: The Man, the Myth, the Plumbing Legend
Before Brian became a plumbing guru, he was elbow-deep in engines as a mechanic for companies like Coca-Cola. (Yes, if your car’s making a weird noise, he can probably still fix it.) But it wasn’t long before the mechanical intricacies of plumbing stole his heart. He found joy in solving problems and building systems that people could rely on.
Under Brian’s leadership, 1-A Services has tackled massive projects, from crafting
laboratories for companies like Lennox and Intertek to handling intricate plumbing challenges. But if you ask Brian about his proudest achievement, he won’t mention any of that. Without hesitation, he’ll tell you it’s his family.
Brian’s Better Half
Enter Regina Wagoner—Brian’s wife, partner, and the true boss of 1-A Services. Regina swapped a career in HR for the family business and never looked back. Her expertise in managing people, coupled with her unshakable dedication, has been the backbone of our operations. These days, Brian and Regina’s world revolves around their three adorable grandkids.
Corbin Moyer: The Favorite (and Only) Son-in-Law
Now let’s talk about me, Corbin Moyer. I’m the licensed Master Plumber, HVAC Contractor, Backflow Tester, Field Supervisor, and yes, the self-proclaimed favorite son-in-law. (To be fair, I’m also the only son-in-law, but let’s not get bogged down in technicalities.) I’m also the proud dad to Brian and Regina’s grandkids, so you could say I’ve secured my spot in the family.
From Pilot Dreams to Plumbing Reality
Believe it or not, plumbing wasn’t my first dream. I wanted to be a pilot. I even earned my Private Pilot’s license with an Instrument rating. But life, as it often does, had other plans. After a stint in college—where I earned an Associate’s degree in Fine Arts (big deal, I know)—Brian asked if I’d like to join the family business. It sounded better than my current gig at the time, so I jumped in.
Fast forward 11+ years, and I’ve fallen head over heels for this work. Plumbing, backflow, and HVAC aren’t just jobs—they’re puzzles waiting to be solved, challenges to overcome, and systems to perfect. Brian has been my mentor every step of the way, and I’m incredibly honored to help him step into retirement in early 2024.

Here’s the thing about 1-A Services: we don’t cut corners. Ever. From day one, our family has been committed to doing the job right the first time. We use products we’d want in our own homes, and we deliver services we’re proud to stand behind.

One of my favorite parts of the job is showing my kids pictures of the work we’ve done—whether it’s a beautifully installed system or a particularly tricky job we nailed. There’s pride in craftsmanship, and we carry that into every project.
